THE TOWER AND THE GLORY A thousand exclusive tickets have gone on sale for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to scale the heights of the majestic Forth
Road Bridge. These one-off tower top trip take place in July and August 2014 in the run up to the Forth Bridges Festival on 4-13 September. Those lucky enough to grab a ticket will ascend by lift and ladder 156 metres above the Forth, to be met by stunning views of Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife. Homecoming
Hogmanay Preparations are well under way across Scotland for the Homecoming Scotland 2014 Hogmanay parties. The celebrations kick off in Edinburgh on 30 December with a spectacular torchlight procession, culminating in a Son et Lumiere finale on Calton Hill. On 31 December locals and visitors can enjoy New Year parties in Stirling, Inverness, Stonehaven and Inverness, with fire sculptures, large-scale light installations and fireworks displays. In Biggar, a dedicated fire sculpture will be lit at midnight. Party-goers will also be encouraged to participate in a country- wide rendition of Auld Lang Syne.
