PALM SPRINGS FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS PARADE “75 Years of Like No Place Else!” is the theme and Suzanne Somers has been named Celebrity Grand Marshal for the 22nd Annual Palm Springs Festival of Lights Parade to be held on Saturday, December 7. The Festival of Lights Parade has become one of the city’s most beloved and highly anticipated holiday traditions, attracting over 80,000 people each year to downtown. Over the past 20 years, the parade has featured a variety of marching bands and entertainment, as well as the Budweiser Clydesdales, Disney character favorites, the Peanuts gang and of course Santa Claus. The parade starts off at Ramon Road at 5:45 p.m. and runs along Palm Canyon Drive concluding at Tamarisk. Parade watchers should get there early for the best spots.
