Learn and Grow in Paradise by Linda Sechrist T

he quest for answers to questions like, who am I, what am I here for and how can I attain my full

potential, has grown into a worldwide industry that generates $64 billion annually. In the U.S., market research suggests that individuals are spend- ing an estimated $9.6 billion annually for books, online courses, webinars, DVDs and workshops in the interest of personal growth.

Designed to improve awareness,

develop talents and potential, build human capital, facilitate employability, enhance quality of life and contrib- ute to the realization of dreams and aspirations, personal growth activities are largely pursued by individuals that consider themselves worthy of an in- vestment beyond that which they spent on their higher education. After reviewing many of the

workshops, events and ongoing classes offered by Anahata Holistic Healing & Spirituality Center, Bob Mulligan, Eyes Wide Open, Enlight Center, Happe- hatchee, House of Gaia USA, Janet Weisberg, Monarch Therapy, and Well- fit Institute, it is apparent that beyond personal growth, Southwest Floridians are interested in expanding conscious- ness and learning to balance their lives, heal their bodies and manage their personal energy fields.
