What skills do you bring to the table/are required in your role? A high level of IT skills, attention to detail and good organisational skills.

What has been your career highpoint? I feel as if my career is only just taking off and already I’m having the opportunity to work within an outstanding organisation. Having such a diverse role has been extremely beneficial as it has enhanced my skills.

What’s the best thing about Glasgow Chamber of Commerce? How committed our team is in working to help improve Glasgow and increase opportunities for a wide range of business sectors through member benefits, events and training.

What one thing would you wish for Glasgow between now and 2014? For Glasgow to embrace the great opportunities the Commonwealth Games will bring and for everyone to get involved and to have the same if not more enthusiasm than we had for the Olympic Games in London.

PERSONAL What do you do to relax at the weekend? At the weekends I like going to the gym, socialising with friends and doing what girls do best – shopping.

What is your favourite city outside the UK and why? Anywhere that’s warm really!

CHAMBER CHAT

Danielle Grant, Administration Assistant, Glasgow Chamber of Commerce

BUSINESS Describe your role/job? As an Administration Assistant, my role is to provide full administrative support to Elaine Rodger, Head of Training and Development, and also other members of the Commercial and Finance Teams.

”Having such a diverse role has been extremely beneficial”

I would love to experience Sydney as it has a relaxed lifestyle and amazing tourist attractions. I could see myself quite happily living there one day!

Name your favourite book/ film/album? My all time favourite book would have to be Of Mice and Men as it is a classic. Stand by Me would have to be my greatest film. My best album would have to be Kings of Leon Only by the Night.

What is your most embarrassing experience? My most embarrassing experience would have to be when I was about 12. My friends and I had a pointless competition to see who could kick their shoe the furthest and mine happened to win. However it ended up flying right into an ice cream van! It was so mortifying having to hop over and ask for my shoe back in front of a crowd of people.

If you could host a dinner party with four guests, who would you choose (two living, two dead)? Barack Obama, Adam Sandler, Princess Diana and Audrey Hepburn.
