Hay Osteopaths
Osteopathic Care for all the family in Hay
Osteopathy is a complete system of evaluation and treatment which normally uses hands on techniques to work on the body. It is not only for the musculoskeletal system but for the whole body.
Crying, irritable baby- could be caused by moulding or remaining effects of pressure on the head.
Colic, reflux, wind- the diaphragm or the nerve supply to the tummy could be affected in the birth.
Feeding difficulties- mechanical stresses to the head, face or throat could be affected, or the nerve supply to the tongue could be impinged.
Sleep disturbances- this could be caused by remaining tension in the bony and membranous casing of the skull which could keep the baby’s nervous system in a constant state of arousal.
A balanced and well functioning pelvis could be helpful in the birth process, also heart burn and breathing difficulties and even nausea in pregnancy could be made worse by strains on the diaphragm and surrounding structures.
