tears and worry would haunt me for hours afterwards because she was no longer the woman who told me never to be afraid.
I was always afraid to leave and spend the night at someone’s house, because I didn’t think I could leave her alone. But, as time went on my mom began giving herself the shots like the warrior I always knew. By the time I turned 17, she had conquered MS as a disease, put it behind her and moved on with life.
Even though our lives
have changed in multiple ways, caring for and about my Mom has brought us closer together in many ways. Her unfailing love through the physical pain and emotional hurt has inspired me to be a better person and stay strong in my faith.
