Taking on additional responsibilities can be a challenge for children who act as care partners. The Greater Carolinas Chapter offers programs and services to help alleviate and overcome some of these challenges.
KID'S CAMP MS Adventures at Camp Chestnut Ridge is a weekend retreat for kids ages 10 to 14 who have a parent or guardian living with multiple sclerosis. It is held on an annual basis in August and is offered to families free of charge. Kids are offered the opportunity to meet other children who share similar life experiences. Kids also participate in recreational activities such as swimming, canoeing, camp fires and other games. Click HERE for great photos from 2012.
