New ScottishPower HQ The new 14-storey ScottishPower headquarters will host 1,500 employees and will be the centre for the company’s significant future UK investment.


CITY CENTRE/HOPE STREET


Scottish Opera’s expansion of the Theatre Royal: £11.5m Expansion of the Theatre Royal will see the building of a new entrance hall and public space, a new education centre and a roof garden providing views over the city.


RENFREW


Glasgow Airport terminal upgrading: £17m The airport will complete this latest round of upgrading works in time to greet visitors arriving for the Commonwealth Games in summer 2014.


GARNETHILL


Glasgow School of Art: £50m Phase one of the redevelopment of the Glasgow School of Art Garnethill campus involves the demolition of the Newberry Tower, the Foulis Building and part of the Assembly Building. New School of Art buildings will arise in their place.


SOUTHERN GENERAL


South Glasgow Hospitals Project: £842m This publicly-funded project will produce one of the most advanced hospitals in the UK and the largest critical care complex in Scotland. It comprises an adult hospital with 1,109 beds, a children’s hospital with 256 beds and a 25,000 square metre Laboratories unit. It is due to be completed in 2015.


GLASGOW WEST END


University of Glasgow campus expansion: £135m The University is investing £80m on new buildings and equipment and £55m on refurbishing buildings and facilities in a five-year programme.


SECC, BANKS OF THE RIVER CLYDE


The Hydro, SECC: £125m Construction is well advanced on a major 12,000-seat venue to host concerts by major music stars and other major entertainment and sporting events.


RENFIELD STREET


Mountgrange office development in the former Odeon cinema: £60m Construction is well advanced on a 10-storey office and retail centre backing onto the Buchanan Galleries extension.
