WHO WE ARE Mission Statement

and a small, previously uninsurable house at 817 Olive Avenue, transformed by new owner Ann Parish into a charming craftsman cottage. All three finalists reflect the commitment and “sweat equity” that enhance neighborhoods and perpetuate our cherished village atmosphere.

The mission of the Coronado Historical Association is to encourage and promote the appreciation, knowledge and understanding of Coronado’s unique art, architecture, history and other historical resources. We do this in myriad ways. We operate a state-of-the-art historical archive where Coronado’s wonderful history is captured in everything from 1880s newspapers and glass plate negatives to historic garments and artifacts. We take history to the people at every opportunity.
