On Saturday evening, February 23rd, a festive crowd gathered for the second annual Celebrating Coronado History gala highlighted by delightful “Sea Stories & Ferry Tales” presented by Nancy Cobb and Gerry MacCartee. This wonderful event, chaired by Barbara Schmelzer and Carolyn Ayres, raised over $80,000 for CHA’s year-round educational programs.
Shown above (clockwise from the top): Co-chair Barbara Schmelzer (center, in white) surrounded by some of the many volunteers and staff members who helped out; Board member Rob Crenshaw with his wife, Laura; enthusiastic guests peruse the many silent auction items available for bidding; Oz books author L. Frank Baum and his wife Maud (a.k.a. Dale and Doug St. Denis) made an appearance; Board member Pat Flynn and her husband, Vince). Log onto
