We met with Tim Haman, CEO of Fair Trading Technolog y which
provides a multiple solution hub for forex brokers,
designed to integrate various brokerage components and make them work seamlessly, including shared wallet accounts, social trading, tradeflow intelligence, one-to- one account mapping, CRM and trade risk management.

FXTM Can you tell us about your professional background and what was the idea behind the creation of Fair Trading Technolog y?
TH Absolutely. I come from an IT background,
I’ve been working
for twenty years in servers, and broadband, and fiber optic networks. One of my strengths is to connect platforms or systems that were never meant to be connected, but I can see how they could work together. So in 2008 we started to investigate the forex market’s retail side. We came across Meta Trader 4 and we saw that it could grow if it was connected side by side with other tools and systems. So we contacted Ducascopy Bank with a solution to connect
MT4 to their platform, in a B2C perspective. The bridge that we developed was just a pure bridge in the beginning. Today it’s a centralized hub connecting all sorts of components for the broker.
FXTM How does this hub work technically?
TH Technically we have a centerpiece software we connect everything to, and we move intelligence from the trading platform into the centerpiece software, which means that when a customer signs up at the brokerage they open an account, the bridging component will open an account in all of the framing platforms. It can be MT platforms, institutional
platforms or any type of propriety platforms.
FXTM Can you integrate platforms such as Currenex to the system?
TH Yes.
FXTM Why did you decide with iPhorex?

TH The story is that we met Chris in iPhorex two and a half years ago. We instantly saw that the mobile trading application they were developing was very good. But it wasn’t compatible with MT4. We developed the plug-in together, to make
