THE GOLDEN STANDARD IN INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL EDUCATION
Since 1976, St. George’s has drawn students and faculty from 140 countries to its innovative programme in medicine on the beautiful island of Grenada, West Indies. Since its founding, the University has broadened its mission to off er undergraduate and graduate degrees in veterinary medicine, public health, science, business, and liberal studies. These programmes are marked by a strong network of affi liations with educational institutions in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, and Ireland.
The University has received many approvals and accreditations. Most recently, in 2011, the American Veterinary Medical Association’s Council on Education granted full accreditation to St. George’s School of Veterinary Medicine, the highest standard of achievement for veterinary medical education in the United States. In 2010, the US Council on Education for Public Health accredited St. George’s Public Health programme — it is one of only fi ve non-US institutions to receive this coveted approval.
