William Boyce was born in Bermonsey, Surrey on 28 October 1854. Entering the Royal Navy in December 1883, he attained the rank of Chief Engine Room Artificer 2nd Class and was awarded the L.S. & G.C in 1894 when aboard the battleship Rodney. Boyce died of Bright’s Disease, at the Gunnery School Infirmary, Sheerness, 9 November 1898.
Charles Duke Watkins was born in Portsmouth on 24 January 1863. Entering the Royal Navy in 1884, he attained the rank of Chief Engine Room Artificer 1st Class in April 1904. Awarded the Queen’s South Africa Medal without clasp when on Sybille, October 1900- February 1901. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. in 1894. Pensioned in 1906 but recalled for service, August 1914-February 1919. Entitled to 1914-15 Star trio.

Thomas Crockett Bentley was born in Biirmingham on 17 September 1861. Entering the Royal Navy in JUne 1884, he attained the rank of Chief Engine Room Artificer 1st Class in February 1903. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. in 1894 on the coastal defence ship Magdala based at Bombay. Served on the royal yacht Victoria and Albert, July 1901-June 1903, for which service he was awarded the coronation medal. Pensioned on July 1906.

George Skeens was born in Southsea, Hampshire on 30 June 1862. Entering the Royal Navy in June 1885, he attained the rank of Chief Engine Room Artificer 1st Class in April 1904. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. in 1900. Pensioned in January 1907.

William Edwin Collings was born in Devonport on 26 May 1866. Entering the Royal Navy in June 1887, he attained the rank of Chief Engine Room Artificer 2nd Class in 1900. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. in 1904 at Tamar (Hong Kong). Died of phthisis in the Royal Naval Hospital at Portland, 19 November 1904.
Edwin Owen Knight was born in Liverpool on 16 May 1867. Entering the Royal Navy in April 1889, he attained the rank of C.E.R.A. 1st Class in March 1905. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. in 1904 at Vivid (Devonport). Pensioned in April 1911.
James Smith was born in Chatham on 27 October 1867. Entering the Royal Navy, he attained the rank of C.E.R.A. 1st Class in April 1905. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. in 1905 on the protected cruiser Leander. Pensioned in February 1912. Recalled, August 1914-June 1917 when he was invalied wth arteriosclerosis. Smith died in the R.N. John Pearson was born in Kircaldy, Fife on 15 November 1869. Entering the Royal Navy in March 1891, he attained the rate of Chief Engine Room Artificer 1st Class in March 1907. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. in 1906 at Tamar (Hong Kong) and pensioned in March 1913. Recalled in 1914, he served on the seaplane carrier Hermes until she was sunk by submarine in the English Channel, 30 October 1914. Appointed an Artificer Engineer in July 1918. Entitled to a 1914-15 Star trio.
Ernest Elliott was born in Morice Town, Devonport on 31 May 1869. Entering the Royal Navy in April 1892, he attained the rank of C. E.R.A. 2nd Class in March 1902. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. in 1907. He died in an accident on board the armoured cruiser Aboukir on 6 June 1907.
John Locke Maxwell was born in Boston, Lincolnshire on 18 February 1868. Entering the Royal Navy in November 1890, he attained the rank of C.E.R.A. 1st Class in October 1907. Awarded the L.S. & G.C. in 1907 on the armoured cruiser Good Hope. Pensioned in May 1914 but recalled in August, he served on the light cruiser Caroline, December 1914-September 1916, seeing service at Jutland. Demobilised in February 1919.
