Rodney Yee Hosts a Yoga Weekend in Miami

a.m. to 1 p.m., March 17, at Bala Vinyasa Yoga Miami. The Friday evening session will focus on grounding via proper use of legs and feet. The Saturday sessions will feature sequential movements from frontal twists to back bends, and then hip openers and forward bends. All-around asana will culminate in the instruction on Sunday. Yee, who has practiced yoga for 30 years and taught for 25, has produced more than 30 videos and authored two books. Saidman, in her 15th year of teaching, operates the Yoga Shanti studio, in Sag Harbor, New York, where Yee also regularly instructs. The duo also runs Gaiam Yoga Studio, an online instructional program, and has produced several popular yoga DVDs. They helped create and now co-direct the Urban Zen Integrative Therapist program, a worldwide initiative of fashion designer Donna Karan.
