But it was tougher finding an aesthetically pleas- ing corner sink. Most of them are wall-mounted and could easily pass for urinals, which was not the look I was going for. I tried several vendors, then looked online. No luck. The corner sinks I found acceptable were way beyond my budget, costing up to nearly a thousand dollars! I was beginning to panic. But Patty called me several times a week throughout the whole process and, while looking herself, found a beautiful corner Sheffield pedestal sink online that was just what I had been looking for, with an oval bowl with graceful lines, and within my $350 budget. The sink came in white only, which determined the color of the toilet bowl, too.


And since the sink would be in a tight corner with little room for faucet handles, the Mirabelle han- dle on the picture of the display model, which we thus knew fit the sink, drove the style choice for the rest of the hardware in the bathroom.


The big decisions were made, and it all took just a couple of weeks. Then came time for the details.


Putting it All Together I returned to the tile vendor a few weeks later to work out a patern for installation of the tile. Of particular importance would be the placement and design of the accent tiles in the shower, the niches that would be installed there and built into one mir- ror, and the ones bordering both mirrors. Paty had already sent the vendor the floor plan of my new bathroom, so they were ready with suggestions. Scheduling an appointment for the visit helped
