8. Scotch Creek – Named after Scottish prospectors who worked this creek for gold in the 1860’s. Shallow water at point before Indigo Bay.

Indigo Bay – Beautiful bay but do not venture in the east end of the bay as sand bars come out further than one would think.
10. Corning Creek – Private beaches and docks on both sides.
11. Flashing Light. Public boat launch with beaching areas.
12. Private beaches and docks west to the public boat launch and east for one mile.
13. Small public boat launch. McEwan Brook is to the east. Private beaches and docks for one mile east and west.
14. Fishing Boundary (sign on shore) - No fishing from this area west to Little River during certain times of the year. Private beaches for one mile east and west.
15. Private beaches and docks for one mile east and west - no beaching.
16. Private beaches and docks two miles west and one mile east to the public boat launch.

1. Distance Markers are used to determine the speed of your boat. The first triangle is located by the water (near the pole
with the Canadian flag) and points up. The triangle on land points down.
2. High rock face cliffs - Caution - there is extreme danger from falling rocks. Stay at least 200 feet away from shore. Private beaches and docks east and west.
3. Private beaches and docks north and south.
4. Shuswap Lake Provincial Park - Excellent swimming and sunbathing beach with lots of nice beaching areas at the north end of the park. There is also vehicle parking joining 272 campsites. Picnic tables, boat launch, sani-station, washrooms, drinking water and showers are provided. No overnight moorage of boats and the park is closed from 11pm to 7am. The Shuswap Lake Nature House is in the park. For reservations call 800-689-9025.

5. Express Point – Nice area but shallow water at the point for 200 feet out. Private beaches and docks west to the marina.
6. Fishing Boundary (sign on shore) – No fishing from this area west to Little River during certain times of the year. Dive Site – Old Barge - an easy dive to 60 feet. A small park with no overnight use.
17. Public boat launch - watch for swimming area. Private beaches and docks south to the marina and north to the point.
18. Small park with a boat launch, swimming area, and public beach.
19. Rocky shores with private beaches and docks - some beaching to the south.
20. Blind Bay – Beautiful area with an abundance of scenery and a bevy of services. Most of the beaches are private in the bay area.
21. Flashing Red Light (remember the Red Right Returning Rule) - Keep the red light to your right (starboard) when going upstream (east here) and left (port) when going downstream (west). Reedman Point is just behind the light.
22. Some rocky beaching areas - beach with care and respect private beaches and docks.
23. Copper Island - Part of Shuswap Lake Provincial Park - nice walking trails to some excellent viewpoints. Fires are not permitted on the island. A sign on shore displays the trails on the island and also provides information about it. Anchor off shore and swim in from there. Do not venture onto the island alone. Do not dive from the rocks or cliffs as serious injuries have occurred.
24. Small rocky beaching area large enough for only one small boat.
25. Flashing Green Light – nice rock walls on the south side of the island. One can usually see geese nesting up on the side of the cliffs. Dive Site – Wall dive on the east side of Copper Island - maximum depth of 130 feet. Dive Site – Houseboat is north of the light on the east end of Copper Island - easy dive to 45’ buoys in front of a small dock and boat launch.
