INFORMATION FOR BUYERS
Buyers are reminded that there is a 25% ( V.A.T. inclusive) premium payable on the final bid price for each lot. The Auctioneers are always pleased to advise clients and to execute bids on their behalf, but if successful, the purchase price payable will be the final bid price and the V.A.T. inclusive premium of 25 % chargeable thereon. Purchases through online bidding will be subject to a surcharge of 3% on the final bid price in addition to the buyers premium of 25% (this surcharge is levied by the online bidding organisation)
Bids must always be made or confirmed in writing or by fax, reference being made to each sale through the code names on the title page of each catalogue. To ensure that bids will be accepted and that delivery of Lots is not delayed, intending Buyers should supply bank or other suitable references to the Auctioneers prior to the auction. The references should be supplied in good time to be taken up before the sale. Bids are accepted in Euro only. Bid offers can be accepted via email but must be confirmed in writing. Payment by cash, guaranteed cheque, wire transfer (details available on request) or credit card (mastercard/visa and subject to 3% surcharge). Cheques/Drafts to be made payable to ‘George Mealy & Sons Ltd’. Third Party Cheques or Drafts will not be accepted as payment for lots purchased.

Has a signature or stamp, which in our opinion is the signature or stamp of the artist or craftsman.

Has a signature or stamp, which in our opinion might be the signature or stamp of the artist or craftsman.

LOTS INCORPORATING MATERIALS FROM ENDANGERED AND PROTECTED SPECIES
e.g. Ivory, Rhinoceros Horn, Certain Coral and Shells, Certain Animal Skins, Tusks and Bones.
Prospective purchasers are advised that several countries prohibit the importation of such items and other countries require a permit ( a CITES permit or suchlike ) prior to export and/or import of such items. Clients should be familiar with the specific requirements relating to their own circumstances, preferably prior to bidding on such lots and it the client’s responsibility to subsequently satisfy all such requirements. Mealys will not be permitted to release any such lots purchased, even if paid for by the purchaser, until they are satisfied that the purchaser is compliant with all relevant requirements and statutory regulations relating to the shipment or movement of such lots.
REMOVAL AND DELIVERY All lots must be paid for and cleared by 4.30 p.m. on Friday, 13th July, 2012
All clearing is at the purchaser’s risk and expense. Any lots uncleared by 4.30 p.m. on Friday, 13th July, 2012, will be subject to Clause 3 of the Buyers Conditions and will be held in storage at the purchaser’s risk and expense.
It is the purchaser’s responsibility to have arrangements in place for collection of lots purchased.

ABSENTEE BIDDING Absentee and Telephone Bidders must have commissions lodged with our Offices before 4.30 p.m., Monday, 9th July 2012. We accept no responsibility or liability for acts or omissions regarding any bids received after this deadline.
CONDITION REPORTS AND IMAGE REQUESTS
All requests for condition reports and/or additional images of lots in this sale must be received no later than 5pm on Friday, 6th July, 2012. Any requests received after this deadline will not be entertained. We cannot guarantee that all such requests received will be answered by the sale days.
