the rounded rectangular top with pierced quarter fretwork-carved gallery above a similarly carved and pierced hinged fall-flap between similar sides, with moulded square supports, the sides with brass carrying handles, formerly fitted with a commode drawer, now adapted, 31”h x 20”w (79cms x 51cms). the rounded rectangular top with gadrooned border and inlaid in boxwood and ebony with a chessboard, the frieze fitted with a drawer one side on a turned baluster stem and concave quadripartite support ending in baluster feet with recessed brass castors, 29 1/2” x 30 1/2” (75cms x 77cms). fitted with a pair of doors decorated with hens and a cockerel amidst scrolling foliage and trees, the sides decorated with flower-sprays issuing from leaves, the interior similarly decorated and fitted with eight variously-sized drawers decorated with Oriental figures, town scenes and birds, on a George II style giltwood stand with foliate and strapwork carved border above a shell and acanthus carved pounced frieze, the apron carved with scrolls and foliage and centred by a stylized anthemion on cabriole supports headed by acanthus bearded portrait masks with hatch scroll head dresses and on acanthus carved cabriole supports and conforming bun feet, 49 1/2”h x 26”w x 17”d (125cms x 66cms x 43cms).
