SOULFUL RIFFING T
he Dan Granero Band is a dynamic entertainment force to be reckoned with. With a lead blues guitarist
and vocalist who performs with massive doses of energy and rockin’ cool, plus a backing of sheer brilliance on bass and drums, this act is generating many happy followers. With the experience of many years on
the road, including European festivals and blues bars and, as well as being endorsed by Fender guitars, this act is
a very interactive crowd pleaser. Having a background of a musical
family and infl uences in styles such as classical, Spanish fl amenco, soul, rock, blues, roots, reggae and gospel and, being self-taught from childhood, a feel for guitar, bass, drums, vocals and songwriting comes with ease. Experience also extends to recording
with more than 18 years’ experience performing and recording nationally and across Europe. A passion for music and life is
echoed in Dan Granero’s performances with the band, as every emotion he feels is transferred from his soul to the fret board of his trademark Fender Stratocaster. With sheer pleasure, they take on
the sounds of Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton and ZZ Top among many others and then blow everyone away with their original music. The Dan Granero Band plays at the
Wickham Park Hotel on Saturday, May 19.

simply, about the end. The band are at their fi nest on this
track – seamlessly merging genres and sounds, while tackling current global issues head-on to create a glorious alternative pop statement. Following the single release, TZU
will release album number four in the second half of 2012, a collection of original and charismatic tunes that will delve further into the electronic direction they explored on Computer Love and ensure they stay two steps ahead of the rapidly expanding pack. Computer Love was a Triple J feature
album which garnered the band a nomination for the AMP shortlist and the J Award album of the year, along with an APRA for best hip-hop artist. The just-announced tour will have the boys tour the nation extensively,
ustralia’s own genre-defying trendsetters, TZU, are getting ready to wow crowds with their striking new single Beginning
showcasing new material along with many TZU classics. No strangers to the touring arena,
TZU always deliver live, and have played all of the major Australian music festivals over the years, including Falls, Meredith, Big Day Out and Pyramid Rock. As well as working on new material
for the album, the boys have been busy doing all sorts of wonderful things since we last heard from them, like smelling the roses, making babies and travelling the world (or at least trying to). They will be playing at the Cambridge Hotel on Thursday, May 17.
