David’s pinging his way to second Paralympic Games
Four Cornish lads are also looking forward to the Paralympics, which start at the Games’ venues at the end of August.

Wetherill, (22), (pictured below), a member of the nearby Crafthole club, who reached the last eight in the Beijing competition, while Newquay swimmers Jonathan Fox, Matt Whorwood and Benjamin Procter will all be competing in the pool.
Best of the trio is probably 20-year-old Fox, but both 22-year-old lifeguard Procter, who swims for Newquay Cormorants and Truro City, and Truro-born Whorwood, (22), are currently in great form.

Cornwall: Edward (‘John’) Jackett, Barney Solomon, Bert Solomon, L F Dean, J T Jose, Thomas Wedge, James Davey, Richard Jackett, E J Jones, Arthur Wilson, Nicholas Tregurtha, A Lawrey, C R Marshall, A Wilcocks and John Trevaskis.
