Good News in Sonoma County!
Team Of More Than One Hundred Outstanding, Generous And Highly Skilled Volunteer Mediators Pull Together
SANTA ROSA, CA.~ It’s normal
for people to have conflicts and disputes with each other, but how we choose to resolve those disputes can make all the difference. We’re lucky in Sonoma County, to have so many of our fel- low residents who are trained conflict
resolu-
tion experts, and who are willing to donate their time to help others. RECOURSE Mediation Services, a 501(c)3 non- profit, has a team of more than one hundred outstand- ing, generous and highly skilled volunteer mediators. Volunteer Nancy Ninegar puts it this way: “I volunteer with RECOURSE because I live for the “ah-ha” moment, for the light in someone’s eyes when they realize that they have the power to make their future better”. RECOURSE volun-
teers come from all walks of life, such as attorneys, teach- ers, business people, social workers and therapists. Last
difficult problems with other people – maybe a divorce, a dispute with a neighbor or co-worker – can be resolved through low-cost media- tion services. “People don’t believe
that they
can come to an agreement because of overwhelming tension and anger. It’s very rewarding to see people at the end of a mediation shaking hands and seeing the relief on their faces”, says Nancy. If you want to meet
year they helped more than 1,000 people find resolutions that worked for both sides in disputes such as small claims, evictions, restraining orders, guardianship of children, fam- ily and elder disputes, HOA and neighbor conflicts, as well as victim-offender mediation for juvenile offenders.

Hi Paul & the Upbeat Times. My kids have been bugging me to send this picture to
you....can't remember if we sent it before or not. It's from our cruise last November. Samantha(holding Upbeat) thought it was funny that I brought a copy of the Times along (I had just picked it up and brought it along to read), and decided we had to take a picture with it. We were in Grenada at the time. ~ Linea Stolte of Santa Rosa.

How do we continue to thrive, even in tough times? By investing wisely — in farmers and ranchers like you. Just like we’ve been doing since 1916.
