Setting: Poker games, Parties, and convincing your kids that you have magical powers so that they don’t steal cookies behind your back.
Needed: Any pack of playing cards
So here’s what the spectator see’s: You have a volun- teer shuffle a pack of cards, spread them out, and select one. Then they square up the cards nice and neat. When they spread out the cards, you can instantly tell them which one they selected. Even though I am a pro- fessional magician and I use intense sleight of hand to amaze, I will still do this trick at a gig simply be because of the fact that I never touch the cards. This amazes people more than most other tricks I do. Secret: Now you MUST prom- ise me that after you perform this trick, you will NOT reveal the secret. If you can’t keep a secret then turn the page. I only
will use the secret to spread the joy and excitement of magic. And the reason I am revealing this to you is because if you have read this far then you must care enough about learning this trick that you perform it.

The
card on top of it is their card.
Remember to play the part when performing any magic trick. Don’t speak in monotone.
Try to come up with one liner jokes to tell as you per- form. Most importantly
Now the secret is the memo- rize the face card of the pack (if the cards are squared then you can only see one card and that is the bottom card aka the face card). After you have them spread out the cards face down, they are to select a card and square the pack up again. Remember that you know what the bottom card is. So when they cut the pack have them place their card on top of the packet that was just cut from
