On the road to Japan! This July, Japan will see some incredible Ultimate, with Canadian National

teams travelling to try and win it all! The World Ultimate and Guts Championship will be held in Sakai from July 7th to the 14th. Canada will have teams competing in each division. The selection committee of each division have the challenge of putting together the best team possible. • In the open division, Andrew Brown, John Hassell, Morgan Hibbert, Nicholas Menzies and Marc Seraglia, will choose the best players in the country to protect their title won in Vancouver in 2008.

• As well, the mixed division needs to select a great team to protect their gold from Vancouver: Russell Street, Kevin Cheung, Jeremy Norden, Mark Leduc and Anne Marie Carey, will have hard decisions to make!

• The Women’s division selection committee includes Alyson Walker, Danielle Fortin, Jeff Cruickshank, Kate Werry, Kristin Laurin, Lorne Beckman, who will have to work hard if they wish to re-claim the world title, last won in 2004, in Finland.

• The Masters selection committee of Adam Chochinov, Joey Houssain, Mike Grant, Jeff Shields, Mike Enns, and Evan Wood, will try to form the best team to bring gold back to Canada.

• Japan will be the scene of a historical premier: for the first time in a World Championship, there will be a Women’s Masters division. Team Canada will be selected by Marie-Helene Audet, Eva Cham, Bridget Gilbride, Monica Kerr-Coster and Jennifer Nicholls. Rosters will be announced shortly. Updates and information about our teams will be available on the Ultimate Canada website. Good luck to all national teams!
