300 entries for Deals Awards


More than 300 nominations have been submitted for the Deals Awards, the major corporate finance event in the south


Judges met last month to assess the entries and decide a shortlist of finalists for the event, which takes place at Oakley Hall (pictured), Oakley, near Basingstoke, on April 26.


Corporate finance advisers, lawyers, bankers, private equity specialists and other dealmakers will gather at Oakley Hall for the Thames Valley & Solent Deals Awards 2012.


Full details and all the winners will appear first on www.dealsawards.co.uk and a full report will appear in the May issue of The Business Magazine.


Categories include Management Team of the Year, Corporate Finance Team and Adviser, Bank and Banker, Law Firm and Lawyer, VC Firm, plus Dealmaker and Deal of the Year.


Sponsors include PwC, HSBC, Leumi ABL, Grant Thornton, Lloyds Bank Corporate, HMT Corporate Finance, Lamport Bassitt, Pitmans, Barclays Corporate and The Business Magazine.


The event will be presented by comedian Dominic Holland, back by popular request after his success three years ago.


Winners of the Deal and Dealmaker categories will be decided by guests on the night using an electronic voting mechanism.
