WELCOME TO OCEANOLOGY INTERNATIONAL 2012
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Oceanology International. For 2012 we have done more than ever before to live up to our reputation as the world’s premier event for marine science and ocean technology.
As the markets that Oceanology serves have grown in size and geography, the unique nature of the event, providing as it does an interface between many different industries to discuss technology and service transfer, becomes ever more valuable to an ever greater number of professionals.
James Coleman
To refl ect that, we have introduced a series of new features and programmes including seven one-day conference programmes focusing on both key industries and core technologies, three new national pavilions and two new industry pavilions for both the marine renewable and marine security sectors.
In addition to that, the exhibition continues to grow and once again we can boast more companies than ever before showcasing their latest technologies and services with exhibitors from over 30 countries.
Equally our vessels and demonstration programme which provides opportunities to witness technologies fi rst hand continues to grow and we expect to build on our reputation for networking with many social events taking place throughout the week, not least our own, on Tuesday the 13th, which is open to all attendees.
Lastly, but by no means least, we are once again joined by the Interspill conference and exhibition bringing an entire industry’s worth of synergetic technologies and professionals to add to the collaboration, networking and business that combine to make Oceanology International such an incredible event.
As ever, I’d like to take the opportunity to thank all of the industry supporters, committee members, industry fi gures and media that work with us to deliver Oceanology International. You will see details of them in this catalogue and their efforts and the relationship we enjoy with them is fundamental to the event’s success.
Have a stimulating and enjoyable time at Oceanology International.
