he Christmas recess flew by and January has been hectic in Westminster. Everybody is still


awaiting the Queen's Speech, when the Government announces the laws it plans to introduce for this session of Parliament.


Therefore, the Chamber has been fairly quiet, although there have been a number of interesting opposition and backbench debates including the cost of living, the alarming level of youth employment and the regulation of pub companies. We have also been
