9. Pension and post retirement benefits


The Group operates defined contribution type pension arrangements for certain of its employees both in the UK and overseas. The assets of these arrangements are held by financial institutions entirely separate from those of the Group.


The cost of these pension arrangements was £795,000 (2010: £666,000) and £92,000 (2010: £81,000) of contributions were unpaid at the year end and held within trade and other payables. 10. Auditors remuneration
