Lancôme Nutrix Royal Body Butter, £37 Tested by Vanessa Omoregie

“Considering the price I was expecting pretty impressive things! This has a lovely buttery scent that isn’t overpowering, however, it is quite sticky upon fi rst use. I only needed a very small amount, which means the tub will last for ages, and my skin stayed moisturised throughout the day. A great product – that’s just a little out of my budget.”

The Body Shop Papaya Body Butter, £12.50

Tested by Amy Tetteh

“I don’t usually like fruity moisturisers but this butter has a lovely, delicate scent. It absorbs quickly into the skin and leaves behind a lovely sheen. I didn’t have to reapply once – which is awesome for someone as lazy as me! It took a couple of days for my skin to really feel the benefi ts, but overall it’s a good product at a reasonable price.”

Clinique Deep Comfort Body Butter, £22 Tested by Roxanne Black

“This is completely fragrance-free, which makes a nice change, as many butters can smell very sickly. However, it’s very thick and I found I had to rub it in quite vigorously, which took some time! Once the butter had a chance to settle, it left my skin feeling really soft. Not ideal if you’re in a hurry, due to the time it takes to sink in, but overall a good buy.”

Bliss Lemon + Sage Body Butter, £20.50

Tested by Amy Tetteh

“I’ve tried many body butters before, but this has to be the one of the best! It absorbs quickly into your skin and doesn’t leave a silky fi lm on the surface. Even though the texture is quite thick, it doesn’t feel that way on your skin – if anything it feels lusciously light! The lemon and sage scent is beautiful, too – it’s just a shame it’s a little out of my price range.”
