Looking back over their 30 years of trading, Lindsay’s Furniture Mill are justifiably proud of their progress – particularly in the last five years. At a time when many of their competitors were cutting back, Lindsay’s forged ahead with ambitious expansion and refit plans, reaping rewards for both the business and their customers.
Since 2006 the family-owned independent retailers have fully refitted the entire mill, including installing new entrance points and easy-access stairs. An abundance of free car parking immediately outside the mill is a particular appeal to the mill’s more senior customers. The converted Victorian mill in picturesque Milnsbridge now not only stocks a wide range of settees, recliners, dining suites and bedroom furniture from some of the most trusted names in the business – including La-Z-Boy, G-Plan, Sherborne and Morris of Glasgow – but also soft furnishings, giftware and floor coverings. are one of the mill’s best selling brands 2010 saw the opening of Café Amore, a homely in-store coffee shop that echoes the mill’s trademark style. Serving freshly ground Cooper’s award winning coffee, Propermaid cakes, and Yummy Yorkshire ice-cream, it’s no wonder a visit to Lindsay’s has become a family day out.
