Truly spectacular...
The unique and beautiful surroundings of The Potting Shed Bistro made it an ideal location for some truly spectacular wedding receptions during 2011.
Based at the historic Pot House Hamlet in Silkstone; wedding celebrations taking place during the summer months have been able to take advantage of the outside areas. There is a charming terrace which looks over the beck, whilst the historic Hamlet itself provided picturesque settings for photo opportunities. The cosy restaurant offers intimacy, and parties are offered exclusivity from 5.00pm until late. Carole Stevenson, the event co- ordinator has an incredible eye for detail and the willingness to accommodate the bride and groom’s personal wishes has made this a very popular and successful location.
Meanwhile, past guests have complimented the professionalism and friendliness of all staff and the high quality of food served. Importantly, there is a fully licensed bar with a wide choice of drinks; including an extensive wine list and the very popular choice of bottled Traditional Ales.
As you may know, the restaurant is well known for its popular live music and fine dining evenings, and this translates well to private functions. Entertainment is generally situated in the lower dining area where the stone floor provides a lovely space for dancing. They are able to recommend acts to suit each occasion. However, should you have your perfect band
already in mind, they will happily allow them to play without charging a supplement. This beautiful location is well signposted from junction 37 of the M1), and there is plenty of free parking on site. Whilst, guests requiring accommodation for the night have found several hotels within easy reach and enjoyed their stay in Silkstone.
