And no one does them quite like Shelley’s Greedy Little Pig Hog Roasting Company. The firm regularly caters for weddings, parties, corporate events and exhibitions; and, while its team can supply, cook and serve food (including beef and lamb), a new ‘self-catering service’ is proving particularly popular.
The idea itself couldn’t be
simpler. Greedy Little Pig provide the roasting machine and meat, before leaving it to cook for a specified amount of time; all customers need do is carve, serve and enjoy their delicious hog.
Smaller groups can even opt for a suckling pig, which is cooked at the firm’s headquarters, and delivered on a platter, apple-in- mouth; dinner party centre-pieces don’t come much grander! Indeed, it’s been an eventful year for Greedy Little Pig; no sooner had the firm joined food and drink organisation Deliciously Yorkshire, than they were asked to cater a meeting! Unsurprisingly, their mouth-watering, locally sourced fare went down a storm. The Greedy Little Pig now also breed their own pigs.
