permits to hunt are issued at a cost of only 150 pesos. However conservationist hunters snap up those per- mits and auction them off to the trophy hunter who will pay the most. Permits sell from $30,000 to $95,000 U.S. Hunters must have all appropriate documentation,

The res- taurant association’s big gala went off this year a little more organized, with shorter lines for food and drink, but the parking was still a mess. They sell 1,000 tickets and then provide two nine passenger
vans to transport those 1,000 people to the marina from the parking lot. But whoa! Here comes a double decker fire truck to take up the slack! Unfortunately, the truck was too high for the trees in the parking lot and they swept the people right off the truck. But hey, as always, the food was great.

and can only take down the older males. Some of the permit money is returned to the community to further conserve the animal and the land it lives on.
Look for the butterfly. A new symbol for paper products is to be applied to those that use a minimum of 60 percent recycled paper. Most of the major Mexican paper companies have agreed to sport the new sym- bol. This year the national pulp and paper board esti- mate 6.3 million tons of pa- per including, writing, card- board, TP, packing material,
and special products. Pack- ing material makes up 65 per cent of this amount. By 2030 they estimate that Mexico will use 21 million tons of re- cycled paper per year. So please, bundle up those pa- pers (And all your other clean recyclables) and take them to the Yo Reciclo drop offs on the first Thursday of each month.
Recycleing danger.
Todd Massey, co-founder of Enviromass, was burned by an unknown liquid that was left at one of the Yo Reciclo drop offs. Massey unwittingly emptied the uni- dentified liquid onto the ground thinking it was wa- ter. He didn’t notice until some time later that the liq- uid had splashed onto his ankle and part of his leg, burning his skin. This is a lack of consciousness and respect for these hard- working volunteers. Please be smart when you recycle.
