FUSED REVIEW
In October the Indigo2 at The O2 hosted one of its regular emerging bands showcases. Put on by promoters FeedMeMusic, the night, Glow, looks to give unsigned bands a platform in a number of prestigious and notable venues around London, including Indigo2, The 100 Club and the Purple Turtle in Camden. The venue fi lled up quickly for the fi ve acts on show, including local band Fused, hailing from Dartford and Abbey Wood. They make a big point of combining their infl uences, with nods to Pearl Jam, REM and Oasis coming through in an intense performance. This is the third time the band have played Glow. They feel the night gives them a great platform: ‘The night attracts more people than you’d usually get. It’s a great opportunity to expand your audience and play in a top quality venue.’
Glow is an excellent night if you’re looking to see some of the best unsigned bands in the area: ‘There are big shows every few months. Purer shows than you’d get elsewhere.’ Fused have just released a new demo, and you can see them at 229 Venue 2, Great Portland Street on January 20th.
