Te XI Chapter of Phi Beta Mu will hold their annual meeting in Peoria in conjunction with the 2012 Illinois Music Education Conference. Te membership has received an invitation to attend the annual luncheon meeting; Friday, January 27, 2012 with the Call to Order at 11:30 am in the Packard Plaza.

Phi Beta Mu News and Views
Phi Beta Mu is a non-political, non-profit International Bandmasters Fraternity. Te XI Chapter in Illinois has over 100 active members who work to promote fellowship, encourage the building of better bands and promote the development of better musicians in schools throughout the State of Illinois. Each member strives to foster a deeper appreciation for quality wind literature and to encourage widespread interest in band performance.
Many in the membership have spent countless hours outside with marching band activities. Te coming of winter, however, attracts musicians back indoors and reminds us of several important meetings for the membership. Te first is at the Midwest Clinic in Chicago. Te International Phi Beta Mu Board Meeting will be held at the Hilton in the McCormick Board Room from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Wednesday December 14th. Te General Assembly Meeting for the membership will be in Continental Room A on Tursday, December 15th at 7:30 am. Finally, the Awards Breakfast will take place in Continental B at 9:00 am also on December 15th. Illinois members
