HOMEAID FORMS A-TEAM TO RENOVATE VETERAN PROJECT
HomeAid Houston is partnering with Ryan Boyles of GB General Contractors, Inc. and Lynne Jones of Lynne T. Jones Interior Design, to provide much needed space design and interior improvements at the United States Veterans Initiative’s Mid Town Terraces facility. This U.S. Vets complex provides shelter and services to 300 homeless men each year who have served our country.
U.S. Vets Initiative
U.S.Vets provides comprehensive
services to veterans, including case management, employment assistance, job placement, counseling, as well as drug and alcohol free housing. Veterans progress through a seamless continuum of services designed to help them increase their level of responsibility and prepare them to live independently in the community.
“The U.S. Vets Initiative project has brought HomeAid Houston together with a generous team of donors who have provided materials and services to update and enhance the Mid Town Terraces facility,” said Parke Patterson, president of the HomeAid board. “Each donation is one step closer to
creating a warm, friendly environment for our nation’s veterans who are on a path toward independence.”
The space improvements for the U.S. Vets Initiative’s Mid Town Terraces facility include the day room and the adjoining restroom. Work began in mid-October and will include wall repair and painting, renovation of the floor and installation of new tile, replacement of the existing sink, toilet, light fixture, mirror, paper towel and toilet paper dispensers and a complete refurnishing of the common area.
