China Softwood Import / Export International Conference Tianjin China Focus on Logs & Lumber: This international conference will assess China’s increasing requirements for softwood logs, lumber and wood products to fill the widening gap between its expanding demand and the potential domestic and import supply. The conference will focus on the various supply sources, the end uses of softwood products, where the supply options are likely to come from, and why the potential of growing softwood shortages looms in China. A forum of international softwood log and lumber sellers will be held with Chinese buyers and channel intermediaries. It is the first time a softwood conference has been organized in China and the reasons are very apparent: China’s role in global trade continues to surge and the ripple effect in all markets continues to be felt from China’s surging demand for raw materials and wood products.
