Meeting Point of the Wood Energy Sector IHE® WoodEnergy exhibition and information platform at the RENEXPO® 2011


The 12th RENEXPO International Energy Trade Fair and its popular exhibition the IHE® WoodEnergy will take place from September 22nd-25th, 2011 in the Messezentrum Augsburg. The IHE® WoodEnergy has grown to become the top meeting point for the wood energy industry and is now a central platform for exchanging information on an international level. The event showcases the entire spectrum of topics related to the value chain of wood.


The products and solutions on display as part of the IHE® WoodEnergy are presented in an optimal setting for exchanging information and keeping up-to-date contacts. Visitors can find all the newest developments and technologies in the area of power and heat production from wood and gain a current overview of the current legal framework conditions.


Some of the main topics of the IHE® WoodEnergy include the use of scrap wood, energy wood production, wood carburetors, heat and power production with pellet ovens, log stoves, wood chip boilers, fireplaces and tiled stoves. All the leading manufacturers of biomass boilers for small and midsize applications will be on site this year, including HDG Bavaria GmbH, SHT Heiztechnik aus Salzburg GmbH and Viessmann Deutschland GmbH.


The open air area will present the newest wood splitting, chaffing and sawing technology. Wood carburetors for power production, wood splitters and wood chippers will be on display with live demonstrations. Renown exhibitors will be at the event to present their newest machines, including Dolmar with a live chainsaw demonstration. The LBG Nord will be on site once again to share vital safety information on accident prevention in forestry work and present a tension simulator for forestry training.


The special exhibition on “Heating with Wood” will return again this year as will the Agriculture Day which will offer trade fair visitors free presentations on the topic of “Energy Production and Efficiency in Agriculture”. This year will feature the premiere of the special exhibition “Energy Forest” with its emphasis on short rotation forestry The special exhibition will be presented in collaboration with the Bavarian State Forestry and Agriculture Agency (LWF). Also new this year: The Wood Carburetor Trade Forum which is presented in cooperation with FEE e.V. and Umweltcluster Bayern. The forum offers the wood carburetor industry an excellent platform for discussing further developments, challenges, innovations and trends in the sector.


A forum taking place on all three days of the trade fair in Hall 1 will give exhibitors in the wood energy sector the opportunity to present their innovations and developments. Visitors can view hands-on examples of the newest technology and gain and overview of the market. Several conferences are also part of the program, including the 5th Conference on Decentralized Mini and Micro Cogeneration and the 7th Conference on Small and Midsize Wood Carburetors. The BBE Conference for Wood Energy is an annual highlight at the RENEXPO® and is presented by the Bundesverband BioEnergie e.V. (BBE). The leading conference in Germany for the wood energy sector will give a current overview of the wood energy industry for the 11th year in a row.


The RENEXPO® showcases the entire spectrum of renewable energies and energy efficiency. The trade fair is open from Thursday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
