Top-flight access to lofts, mezzanines and roofs
Many businesses are increasing storage space through the use of mezzanine floors and utilising roof space to locate such things as plant, motor and boiler rooms. For homeowners, the loft is becoming increasingly popular for storage. Whether its mezzanines, roofs or lofts, access is vital and Premier Loft Ladders is the No.1 choice for access stairway solutions for industrial, commercial and domestic applications.
Premier’s most popular range is the Supreme, offering a choice of superbly engineered aluminium concertina- style, easy-to-fit, counter balance stairways, all available with an impressive choice of industry-leading options. These include a laminated wood trapdoor and lining and a weatherproof, insulated roof hatch. Normally supplied with a single seal at the top of the lining for when the roof hatch closes, the unit is also available with a double seal to the roof hatch to improve energy saving. The standard seal would allow up to 35mm of insulation around the outside of the hatchbox, whereas the double seal can allow anything between 80mm to 120mm.
Additional accessories include electrical operation, 30 or 90 minute fire resistant casings, vertical access, sus- pended ceiling application, top operating mechanism, insulated trapdoor, telescopic handrail and upper level guardrail. The Supreme has a maximum floor to ceiling height up to 4600mm for flat roof access.
Across its entire range Premier will match the price of any like for like product found at a lower price elsewhere!
Minimalist balconies fit contemporary style
Neaco’s Clearview range of balconies has been extensively specified to meet the overall contemporary aesthetic of Welland Court, an £8.5 million development of 72 care apartments in Nottingham. Designed by Allan Joyce Architects, the recently completed scheme features Juliet and walk-on balconies which are notable for their minimalist style with a predominance of toughened glass panels and minimal use of stanchions. Craig Beech of Allan Joyce Architects commented: “Neaco’s Clearview balconies provide the subtle visual impact we required for Welland Court. The Juliet designs require no supporting stanchions, with a simple top-rail running across the glass panels, and the walk-on designs also feature plenty of glass with slim, unobtrusive stanchions. They are very cost-effective and we are pleased with the choice of Clearview for Welland Court.” Allan Joyce Architects designed Welland Court to replace 34 existing apartments with a state-of-the-art Extra Care scheme including self-contained homes with features catering for people aged over 55. The development incorporates a wide range of communal facilities, including lounge, restaurant, laundry, hobby room, activities room, cafe, shop, hairdressing salon and library.
Summer Style from British Ceramic Tile
Whether you’re looking for something soothing and restful or something with a bit more pizzazz, the summer product launch from British Ceramic Tile will have a range to suit many of your needs. The latest launch showcases new products designed to enhance and complement two of the existing ranges. The addition of the Brighton Neutrals tiles introduces a softer, more subtle look to the Brighton range of tiles. The complementary tones of Truffle, Ivory, Beige and Grey allow you to add a warm glow to your bathroom, and can be used as standalone tiles, or mixed with one of the two coordinating strips to help create feature panels. The linear design of the tiles matches that of the existing Brighton wall tiles, so allows the range to be mixed and matched. The wall tiles are available in a 248x398mm size and the strips in a 398x50mm size.
