THE
partnership between they architect and designer Simone Micheli – with her exuberant creativity – and the
renowned pragmatism of the Lucchetta Brothers of Italian kitchen manufacturer Euromobil, has produced IT-IS, a kitchen that its creator defines as having “minimalist shapes that transcend a stereotype”. Using HI-MACs acrylic solid surface Euromobil has been able
to produce a continuous surface with a soft, fluid design that is extraordinarily beautiful and has truly exceptional dimensions. It encompasses a fluid design that gives life to each element –
from the drawers to the curved edges. It includes tall units with central sliding doors and curved surfaces with varying thickness. Deep drawers are in cord lacquer or stainless steel. Their fronts have an oblique top edge, for an easy grip. The kitchen design utilises 12mm thick Alpine White and has
been designed to work in all types of spaces and meet any functional and aesthetic need, thanks to the simplicity of its geometric lines. Its versatility is best showed in a large space, allowing the kitchen collection to showcase its functional aesthetics and overall visual impact. IT-IS was first presented at the Milan Triennale earlier this year.
