Material Mix

One of the more striking displays at the KBB London show, Edwin Loxley’s Cavani kitchens made quite an impact thanks to some sleek curves and highly varied material use

BRITISH kitchen manufacturer

Edwin Loxley presented its new Cavani range in London recently. Hand crafted in Edwin Loxley’s Nottingham workshops, Cavani has been designed to compete with modern kitchen furniture ranges from mainland Europe. However, instead of offering the usual selection of high gloss white, black and red doors with standard melamine and chipboard carcasses, the new range offers a more varied mix of natural timbers, paint colours and specialist designer finishes and high quality cabinet and drawer box construction. Joe Cavani, Edwin Loxley’s Founder and designer behind the Cavani concept, said:

“For a long time, we have felt that many of the modern mainland European brands are very much a case of ‘style over substance’. Their levels of specification, lack of design flair and lack of cabinet size flexibility we believe is at odds with their premium retail price tags. “‘Cavani is not only beautifully crafted

from much higher grade materials, but it also offers our dealers untold levels of flexibility since there are bespoke cabinet sizes and the option to choose any finish combination from the vast Cavani palette.” Cavani adds: “Hopefully, we have

demonstrated that the British can not only do ‘ultra modern furniture’, but also, we can offer superior levels of specification and design at realistic prices.” designer
