ebration of the 2010-2011 theatre season. Now, outside her home in the tranquil Airds Bay, Taynuilt, the only noise is from the tweet- ing birds and the only bright of the sun on the water. The convivial 66 year old in- troduces herself with the more familiar Jo Service; her stage name omitted during pleasantries, as if to highlight the difference between this discreetly beautiful corner of Airds Bay and the glitz and glamour of Broadway.
Jo had recently returned from New York, where she was nominated in the Outstand- ing Solo Performance cat- egory for the play The Prom- ise, which she performed 22 times over three weeks on Broadway.
