FINANCIAL incentive from the Scottish Gov- ernment will soon be of- fered to those who scrap their boiler in exchange for replacing fossil fuel heating systems.
The Renewable Heat Incen- tive (RHI) is set to be launched at the end of July 2011. The scheme is set to provide a - nesses and householders to

install an approved renewable heat technology. Such heat- ing systems include wood fuel boilers, solar hot water panels,
and heat pumps. The RHI is designed to replace the up-front grant schemes which the government has operated in the past, and it is hoped this will encourage a steady uptake of these renew- able technologies.
