In 1929, when the Sisters of Little Company of Mary decided to expand their ministry and build a hospital, they called upon the people they had met through their home-based nursing care. This wide group of friends became known as the first generation of the Greater Company of Mary — benefactors and friends, patients and their families, physicians, volunteers, nurses and community members — who journeyed with the Sisters as they ministered faith-based, compassionate care to the the sick and dying.


Now, with Little Company of Mary in the midst of the largest construction project since its founding, the hospital turns to today’s generation of the Greater Company of Mary. By recommitting our resources, energy and love to the families of Southwest Chicagoland, we can build a stronger, more vital community. Values. Vision. Innovation: The Campaign for Little Company of Mary Hospital is an opportunity to renew that pledge first made in 1929 and reaffirm our commitment to community-based, spiritually guided, high-quality health care.
