Campaign News Hello friends of Little Company of Mary,

It’s been a busy time since our last issue of Envision and it’s my great pleasure to update you on the progress of Values. Vision. Innovation: The Campaign for Little Company of Mary Hospital. One need only look out a west window of the hospital or drive down Sacramento Avenue to see the fruit of our efforts, as the new West Pavilion rises from the ground. With construction underway since last fall, each day now brings us closer to the reality of a 21st century, state-of-the-art health care center.

This visible progress transforms our Campaign from a theoretical hope to a

concrete reality, and it inspires me to continue forward and push toward our goal. While we have accomplished much since the launch of the Campaign, we still have work to do. The Campus Transformation Project is anticipated to cost between $150 million and $175 million. The hospital is funding the Project through the assistance of the Campaign, as well as borrowed funds and internal resources. To date, the Campaign has raised more than 8 million, well toward our goal of $12.5 million, and we’re grateful to the many individual donors and corporations who have supported the Project.

As we now conclude Phase I of the Campaign and look ahead to the launch of Phase II in fall 2011, we approach our goal with renewed enthusiasm and dedication. With a new Executive Director, Brian Lepacek, and a new Foundation Board currently in formation, the Campaign is gathering significant momentum for our final push, and we encourage you to join our effort at this exciting stage.

For individual donors, naming opportunities are available at various levels and are a wonderful way to honor your family or a loved one. For our business partners and supporters, the Campaign Business Committee, comprised of 13 local and downtown business professionals, will begin seeking donations from Chicagoland corporations and community businesses. For physicians, employees and staff, the Physicians Committee, chaired by Drs. John Hanlon, Jayanthi Ramadurai and Daniel Rowan, has raised more than $700,000 to date and will continue to seek contributions from within our own Little Company of Mary family.

Finally, for those of you who have supported Little Company of Mary in the past, either recent or long ago, we ask you to renew your commitment to the hospital. Just as the hospital has pledged itself to this community, to faith-based care, to a spiritually driven mission and to sophisticated health care, we ask you to make a similar investment in your community. With this Project, Little Company of Mary is investing in the heart, soul and future of this community, and we urge you to do the same.

My wife Ginny and I both believe in community service and we see the important role Little Company of Mary plays in improving the quality of life, physically and spiritually, in our community. We encourage others to join the Little Company of Mary family as we undertake the challenge to elevate to new levels of quality health services.

Thank you, David Kavanaugh Campaign Co-Chairman
