and liked them, but then we realised that the site management would just take too much of my time,” said George. “So we started looking at turn-key builds. It
was a surprisingly small list. In terms of cost. a Dan-Wood house seemed very similar to man- aging the build ourselves, so it was really a no- brainer,” said George. The re-release of the Newhall North Chase plot had pushed them into a tight time frame, with short-term house rental the only option so they could release their equity for the mortgage and start the build. Then the Hadleys had a second stroke of luck.
