have strict boundaries. They are not keen on other work being done on site while they are still working on the house,” says Daryl. Alongside the planning process the couple
visited the Huf Haus factory in Germany for two days where they specified all the fixtures and fittings for the house. They walked around with a huge list of things to sort out, from the style of door handles to the type of lights.
The couple were extremely impressed with the speed and precision with which the project was carried out
Daryl is extremely pleased with the result,
“There isn’t a single switch which is in a position I think I’d like to [change]. Patrick Muller, Huf’s fitting specialist, was very good.”

they couldn’t get out of London because of the heavy snow. In just that week Huf built the house from scratch. “It was unbelievable. They first excavate a
massive hole and fill it with concrete. Once the time slot is signed off they have the whole house up in 7 days. I came down the week before and there was no house at all. Then I came down the following Friday and the house was up,” Daryl recalls.
