JIS Europe of Haywards Heath has a new heated towel rail named the Alfriston. The towel rail is manufac- tured in an elegant round section shape with nine horizontal rails giving an appearance of refined luxury, together with a stylish 90 degree angle on the top rail. The new Alfriston rail is 650mm high and 1000mm wide. It can be used in central heating, electric or dual fuel formats, which will allow the rail to
be heated when the central heating is turned off. The Alfriston towel rail is manufactured in 100 per cent stainless steel pressure tested to 12 Bar.

The recently opened Green House Project, based in Huntingdonshire District Council, has proven that carbon emissions can be reduced by 75% through easily affordable improvements. Working with the Building Research Establishment (BRE), as part of their ‘Rethinking Refurbishment’ campaign, Huntingdonshire District Council has transformed two exist- ing homes from the 1960s and 1970s in St Neots and St Ives into eco-homes. Instrumental in dramatically reducing the carbon emissions is the use of Walltite®
cavity wall insulation and Walltite® spray foam
insulation from BASF Polyurethanes UK, which have been used to form an airtight thermal efficient solution in both properties. Durable and sustainable Walltite®
cavity wall insulation provides permanent
adhesion over the whole surface area of the walls and overcomes wall tie failure, weak mortar joints and other related structural problems. The foam seals the cavity, does not shrink or allow air to pass through it, therefore air leakage through the cavity is reduced to zero. In addition the existing loft insulation was replaced with 60mm Walltite®
spray
foam insulation between the rafters and 150mm of mineral wool at ceiling level, to achieve a u value of 0.16W/m²k.
Heat Electric
