 Senate Electrical

Senate Electrical, one of the UK's leading electrical supplies distributors, has launched a new range of energy saving lamps under its in-house Sector brand. The Energetic range, which includes CFLi and LED lamps for a wide range of light fittings, boasts energy savings of up to 85 per cent on conventional lamps and a lamp life of 30,000 hours for LED lamps and 10,000 for CFLi lamps. All lamps in the Energetic range are

liquid mercury free, with CFLi lamps using Amalgam instead for a safer, more environmentally alternative. The latter come with a unique Break-safe feature to confine Amalgam and shattered glass if the lamp is accidentally broken.

Saint-Gobain PAM UK

Saint-Gobain PAM UK has further enhanced its Classical cast iron domestic rainwater and guttering sys- tems with a new range of hopper heads. Boasting an attractive, flat back design, the new hopper heads are in a larger size of 305 x 186 x 200mm. They can be purchased in both standard Classical black water- based primer and in Classical Plus finish thermoplastic powder coating PPA571. Mike Rawlings, marketing

manager – Soil & Drain at Saint-Gobain PAM UK, explained: “The Classical range already boasted several options in this product area, but the new product will satisfy the requirements of homeowners seeking a larger, more prominent hopper head.”

Fernco Environmental

Whether it’s saving money on house insurance or using sustainable building materials there is always pressure to look at options, get the best deal and make the biggest difference. The reality is we don’t all have the time to do this – any way of reducing the workload on a house build project is always welcome. This need for efficiency is always at the forefront of product development at Fernco Environmental, and the result is two systems – for rainwater harvesting and for surface water soakaway. Both water management systems contain everything you need! The Stormbreaker soakaway is a modular system assembled using 0.4 cubic metre kits. Each kit contains the geotextile, the adhesive tape, and installation instructions – one purchase, one product, no wastage. Why excavate 3 cubic metres and use 4.8 tonnes of stone, when 1 cubic metre of Stormbreaker holds the same volume of water? Also designed with ease of purchasing and installation in mind is the Stormbreaker rainwater harvesting system. This high spec product is preassembled and contains everything you need: one purchase, one customised, preassembled system.
