Bishop Schnase thanked Mark Rundel for ten years of service. Tis is his final year as a trustee.
Lynn Dyke, Council on Finance & Administration Chair, presented the Council Report on pages B48-B55. Te Moving Report is on page B62. Te Moving Policy is on page B63 with changes to take effect June 7, 2010; reimbursement requests are due within 60 days. Te Policies and Procedures Report is on pages B56-B61, with proposed changes underlined.
Lynn Dyke thanked the churches that paid 100% apportionments. Te Southeast District paid 97.7 %, the highest pay out in the conference. Te 2011 Proposed Budget is on pages B48-B55. Te health insurance increase for 2011 is 8.1%. Tere will be 11 district superintendents in 2011. A zero percent increase is requested for the 2011 budget.
Kendall Waller, Treasurer, challenged all districts to pay 100% of apportionments next year.
Bishop Schnase thanked the Council on Finance & Administration for their good work. Williams Keepers presented the bishop with a copy of the Audit.
Bishop Schnase reminded the conference to attend the aſternoon workshop to learn more about the proposed budget. He thanked churches that paid 100% of apportionments.
Richard Hearne, Lydia Patterson Institute Director of Development, announced that 90% of students graduate from high school; almost 100% continue into higher education; almost 95% graduate from college. Two students attend Central Methodist University every year.
Mable Unser, United Methodist Women President, reminded the conference of the Walk for Mission at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, and to continue honoring the memory of Mai Gray.
Jerry Ruth Williams, United Methodist Publishing House Board of Directors, introduced Erin Kincannon Emler, Cokesbury Store Manager. Jerry Ruth Williams announced improvements to the Cokesbury website, and the release of the Common English Bible in October. Visit the website at
