Float the Frog to provide clear safe water Another product that helps to keep the pool water fresh as a daisy using natural means is the Frog zinc and silver mineral reservoir. The system works by the zinc killing the algae and the silver as an effective bactericide; this means a reduced chlorine residual so keeps chemical consumption to a minimum. A proprietary sanitiser must be used in conjunction with the Frog and the pool will still need regular shocking (oxidisation) to keep the water in peak condition. Sanitiser is present in tablet form in the Frog itself thus ensuring a constant level of safe sanitisation.
